The school has been involved in raising money for the local PEPAIDS charity. The charity raises money to help victims of the AIDS virus in Sub-Saharan Africa.
PEPAIDS was set up by Helen Allen (Local mum, Nurse of the Year 2011, one of the 'Leading Ladies' (including Dame Helen Mirren, Tracey Emin, Darcy Bussell, etc) in the recent national ad campaign run by Marks and Spencer, Olympic torch bearer, etc.))
Helen visited the school in December 2013 to talk to the children about the work of the charity and to present a motivational assembly based on her experiences and personal values.
Recently the school raised over £250 for PEPAIDS by taking part in Helen's 'Great Big Christmas Card Competion' and from the charitable collection made at the recent School Carol Service
