It was Music Week at Cloverlea on week commencing Monday 20th March . This week saw a variety of events designed to celebrate music as an important aspect of our lives.
On Monday 20th March, Trafford Music Service came in to conduct some singing workshops with the children throughout the school. Monday also saw a special music assembly presented by Mrs Dent in the hall. We all appreciated her efforts to get the children to make music by blowing into bottles filled with different amounts of water. Not an easy task by any means.
On Tuesday 21st March, our old friends 'Key Strings' visited school and informed and entertained children with their unique blend of musical accomplishment and humour, focusing on the musical instruments found within an orchestra and giving the children an insight as to how music has changed over time.
On Wednesday 22nd March, the electronic pop band, 'The Pop Project' visited Cloverlea, playing a series of popular songs from the last 50 years that also help to promote the theme of 'British Values' in our school.
All in all, it was a very successful week and the children really enjoyed the performances and taking part in the events.
