Little Wandle Letters and Sounds

In line with the current DfE and OFSTED guidance, the school is embedding a phonics scheme to support your child with learning to read fluently and with pleasure. addition to daily phonics lessons, your child will  bring home two books each week.

• A Reading Practice book matched to your child’s phonic stage that they can read independently. Your child will already have learnt to read this book at school and will be able to read it fluently.
• A Sharing book that your child can talk about and enjoy with you. Your child is not expected to read this book independently.
