Spring Term

In English, we will be reading The Hodgeheg by Dick King-Smith, learning how to write a recount (diary entry), studying Arthurian legends as well as reading a variety of other genres such as poetry and non-fiction. 

 

Science, Geography, D&T, Art - we're studying a cross curricular theme of 'Extreme Earth', in which children learn the Earth's climate and areas of extreme temperatures/weather conditions. Pupils will design, make and evaluate waterproof containers and interactive information boxes as well as reproducing Hokusai's 'Great Wave'. 

 

PE - pupils will have 3 sessions this half term. 

Monday: Football

Tuesday: Wheelchair Rugby

Thursday: Handball

Children were tasked with translating a map of the site of the boat museum on to hessian material on the floor using felt. It was quite challenging!
