The children in Year 5 like creating pieces of work and bringing them into school to show. Mrs Dent has been so impressed that she has decided to create a gallery of this work for the class website page. Please enjoy viewing and reading the work of our talented Year 5 pupils.
This half term we have been looking at 3D shapes in our Maths work. We have constructed 3D shapes with unifix and then have drawn them using isometric paper. Lastly, we have focused on the view of 3D shapes from different perspectives - front view, side view and top view. Using dotty paper we have drawn the different views of a range of 3D shapes.
Here are some photographs of the class enjoying their Maths work.
Pupils in Year 5 are currently having weekly hockey lessons led by a coach. These sessions are fantastic and the children are really enjoy them. It is nice to see their skills in Hockey improving.
Pupils in Year 5 have made a creative and artistic start to the new academic year, focusing on, and creating their own Zentangles, in order to bring some dazzle to the Year 5 classroom. Come back soon to see photographs of the display created and some scanned samples of the pupils artistic work.
