This term we will be learning the following:
English: The works of Michael Foreman, poetry and stories from other cultures. We will be using our ICT skills and lots of exciting apps to bring our work to life e.g. using do ink greenscreen to create interactive postcards.
Maths: We follow the national curriculum and pupils can be supported at home by concentrating on learning times tables. Pupils should be confident in 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 times tables and the inverse operation (division facts) by the time they are in Y4. Lots to do!
Science: Human body and healthy eating. Rocks
Geography: Europe (culture, food, traditions, location of countries and capital cities, flags). Extreme Weather: a focus on types of weather from around the world and the causes.
Art: Study of Vincent Van Gogh
D&T: Making Sandwiches and interactive information boxes
PE: In the first half of the autumn term, PE will be Tuesdays and Thursdays. PE kit should be in school Monday-Friday and taken home each weekend. Pupils should also take PE kit home if they know they have a before school club the following day.
Homework: Given out on Fridays and due in the following Wednesday. Homework consists of reading for 10 mins per night, learning times tables and further consolidation of English/maths taught in class.
