Friday 26th June 2020
Good morning and happy Friday! Here is your last day of home learning work for this week.
Your tasks for today are as follows…
Maths: calculating the volume of cubes and cuboids
Continue to spend about 10 minutes working on your times tables on TTRS or hit the button in order to keep them fluent and up to the speeds and accuracy we have worked so hard to achieve.
After that, follow the link below to complete today’s task on finding the volume of cubes and cuboids. Work through the information and the activities. The answers are provided for you to self-mark once you have completed the tasks.
English: reading
Follow the link below for today’s reading English lesson which includes extracts from Macbeth, retold by Marcia Williams. Follow the instructions, reading through the extracts and answering the questions that follow.
Well-being: primary school reflection sheet
To keep your minds healthy and positive, remember to complete your daily well-being activity where possible. For today’s well-being activity, complete the primary school reflection sheet that I posted yesterday. I have not received any of them back yet from pupils who are completing home learning. It involves you thinking back over your time in primary school. I will be using the replies to some of these questions in an end-of-year video, so please ask a parent to email in a clear photo once you have completed these sheets if you wish to be included in the video with everyone else.
Transition
Your additional lesson today is transition. This means making the move from primary school to secondary school. Go through the PowerPoint slides and then answer the questions from Sessions 3 and 4 in the workbook.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Miss Boden
