Hello Year 3,
I have got to begin this letter by saying how much I enjoyed our Zoom meeting on Friday. It was so good to see your faces and to chat about the things that you have memories of during the lockdown. I enjoyed it so much that I cannot wait until our next meeting to see what each of you will be showing or sharing with me. I was impressed with your confidence using the technology and you demonstrated that you even know more than me with regards to zoom.
I hope you have began your week on a good note and that you are doing the best you can with regards to your home learning tasks. I am in school this week working with the Key Worker children. Our topic theme this week is 'At the Seaside'. Today we have been looking at the features of seaside towns and have been exploring seaside towns in the United Kingdom. The children enjoyed using IPads to locate locations using Google Maps. Tomorrow we are going to be making our own fidget spinners and learning more about the seaside.
I have been very impressed with all your baking during the lockdown. I knew you were a talented bunch of children but I didn't realise just how talented you all are. Like I said in our zoom meeting, I think we could start a Year 3 bakery with all your wonderful baking. I am sure that when I speak to you next there will have been lots more baking that has happened. I look forward to finding out what you have been baking.
Have a good week, Year 3. The weather is going to be good so maybe you can plan some activities that make the most of it. Keep sending in your emails and photographs because I do like to know what you are all doing.
Keep smiling and keep safe
Mrs Dent
