Cloverlea Wins Sport's Awards

Sporting Achievement.


Cloverlea picked up a whole host of awards at this year’s Trafford School Sports Awards held on Friday 28th November at  MUFC Old Trafford.

Five awards were received as follows:

  • A Special Recognition Award (Team of the Year) for the school girls’ swimming team who won their event at the Greater Manchester Youth Games last summer.
  • A Special Recognition Award for outstanding commitment to Developing Competitive School Sport.
  • A Cross Curricular Special Recognition Award for the Junior Commonwealth Games Project organised last July.
  • The Sainsbury’s School Games Silver Award to mark our school’s commitment, engagement and delivery of competitive school sport in 2013/14.
  • Mrs Rickels (Deputy Head and school Sport Leader) won the School Sport Champion Award for promoting sport at Cloverlea.


Well done to everyone involved in sport at the school, especially to Mrs Rickels who has worked tirelessly over the last year to promote and develop sporting opportunities at the school.
