I am pleased to announce that Cloverlea Primary School has taken possession of a defibrillator machine as part of its First Aid strategy. The machine was kindly donated to the school by the charity 'Hand on Heart' (www.handonheart.org) which raises money for defibrillators in school through collecting the money from the fountains in the Intu Trafford Centre.
A defibrillator is a machine which could help a pupil or a member of staff (or any person on the school premises at the time) who may suffer from a cardiac arrest while in school. Six members of the Cloverlea staff have been trained in its use at the recent staff training day in May.
Although we hope to never have to use it, it is an important resource to have available in school if it is required in an emergency.
