Nature Area Volunteer Morning

Thanks to all parents, children and staff who turned up on a frosty Saturday morning in November (23rd November) to carry out some essential winter maintenance on the school's nature area. Paths were cleared, paved areas were weeded, shrubs were cut-back and a large pile of woodchip was barrowed and spread-out over the paths and enclosed areas.

The next step is to carry out some important tree work by pruning one of two of our vigerous growing trees and coppicing our hazel areas to encourage new growth over the coming years. This should take place before Christmas.
