World Book Day

It's World Book Day at Cloverlea. Thanks to all the pupils and staff for dressing up as their favourite characters from books and stories. We had a wonderful World Book Day assembly in the hall this morning. Mrs Wilde talked to the children about why we celebrate World Book Day and the potential power of books in all our lives. The teachers all came out to the front of the assembly to talk about their favourite books and prizes were given to the children for the best costumes. There were twelve prizes in total: a winner and two runners-up in each of the following age categories - Foundation Stage, Years 1 and 2, Years 3 and 4 and finally, Years 5 and 6. The prizes were all book tokens.

Well done to everyone who took part.
