Welcome to Cloverlea Nursery's home learning page. Please feel free to check this page for ideas and activities that you can do at home with your child. I have also included the WOW moment sheets for you to complete with any achievements that your child may have accomplished whilst at home or out and about with you.
If you need any support with these activities please feel free to email me.
Epic online reading.
I have set up Epic, which is a super website/app to give your child access to books online. Please see the letter for log in details that I sent home. If you have not received the letter, please email me and I will forward it to you.
To begin with, look at the Epic March calendar 2020. There are some super reading activities on here to work through.
An old classic! There are many recipes available, this is our favourite. Consider adding different smells, for example baby oil, shampoo or tea tree oil.
2 cups of plain flour
Half a cup of salt
2 tablespoons of cooking oil
2 tablespoons of cream of tartar
1 to 1.5 cups boiling water
Children love to explore cornflower both dry (beware, it is very messy!) and mixed with water. Children enjoy feeling the drippy texture run through their fingers and can also attempt to roll a quick ball before it falls into a runny liquid again! I recommend setting up gloop in a shallow tray or a large dinner plate.
This works well in a shallow tray and is ideal to encourage children to practise their letter formation, writing their name, writing simple words, writing numerals and so on.
