School Dinners and Lunchtimes
Our kitchen staff are proud to provide the children with home cooked food on a daily basis and our electronic ordering system enables parents to be in control of what your child eats whilst at school. The food served is designed to meet the school food standards so that our children have a healthy, balanced diet.
All children at Cloverlea have the option to have a school meal. The current cost of meals is £2.40 per day, £12.00 per week. You must pre-order meals and pay online via the Evolve system, for which log-in and password information is required. The website to log into is below and specific Evolve code is available from the school office.
All children in years Reception, 1 and 2, are entitled to a free school meal as part of the Governments initiative to encourage healthy eating. From Year 3 the above charge is applicable per meal for children.
If you do not wish your child to have a school meal please provide them with a healthy packed lunch and inform the office if you wish to change from school meals or vice versa, we ask if this can be done 3 days in advance.
Menus are rotated on a three weekly cycle and available on My Evolve Hub a term at a time to be able to pre-order meals. Guides for how to pre-order meals are below and also if you need to cancel a meal and claim a refund, for example if your child is ill. If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Sykes or Mrs Moss in the school office.

Lunchtimes at Cloverlea are an opportunity for our children to socialise together and our midday team are committed to making this time fun and enjoyable. The children are provided with the opportunity to get involved (play) in a variety of activities and games that promote well being and health, both physical and mental. For those who wish to be quiet, we are lucky to have a number of quiet areas for the children to sit down and read or chat with their friends.
We are very lucky in the resources and equipment that we have that support play during our lunchtimes. Our outdoor climbing walls and climbing frames, in both the Infant and Junior playgrounds, are utilised fully and the rotas that the school operates ensures that outdoor play is managed successfully and pupils are safe at all times.
Our Year 5 and 6 Helping Hands Team support the midday team with the smooth running of the busy lunchtime schedule.
