Lunchtimes at Cloverlea are an opportunity for our children to socialise together and our midday team are committed to making this time fun and enjoyable. The children are provided with the opportunity to get involved (play) in a variety of activities and games that promote well being and health, both physical and mental. For those who wish to be quiet, we are lucky to have a number of quiet areas for the children to sit down and read or chat with their friends.
We are very lucky in the resources and equipment that we have that support play during our lunchtimes. Our outdoor climbing walls and climbing frames, in both the Infant and Junior playgrounds, are utilised fully and the rotas that the school operates ensures that outdoor play is managed successfully and pupils are safe at all times.
Our Year 5 and 6 Helping Hands Team support the midday team with the smooth running of the busy lunchtime schedule.
Our kitchen staff are proud to provide the children with home cooked food on a daily basis and our electronic ordering system enables parents to be in control of what your child eats whilst at school. The food served is designed to meet the school food standards so that our children have a healthy, balanced diet.
All children at Cloverlea have the option to have a school meal. The current cost of meals is £2.40 per day, £12.00 per week. You may pay by cash, cheque or via Parent Pay, for which log-in and password information is required. This information is available from the school office.
All children up to the age of 7, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, are entitled to a free school meal as part of the Governments initiative to encourage healthy eating.
If you do not wish your child to have a school meal, please provide them with a healthy packed lunch.
Menus are rotated on a three weekly cycle. If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Marlow in the school office.
