Summer first half

This half term we have got plenty to look forward to and here is a flavour of some of the things that we will be doing:

In English, we will be looking at biographies with a particular focus on Ernest Shackleton, the great Antarctic explorer.

In Maths, there will be a focus on Fractions, Decimals and Percentages followed by Geometry work on Properties of Shapes which will include lots of work on angles.

Our Science focus is Living things and their habitats where we will be exploring life cycles.

In History, we will journey back in time to the Early Islamic Civilisation (AD900) where we will explore some of the great advances made during those times.

Our DT and Art work will be linked to the History topic and we will have the opportunity to explore Islamic and Arabic calligraphy.

We are lucky to be welcoming representatives from Altrincham football club to work with us on football skills and we will continue our PE fundamentals work throughout this term.

Our RE work will explore what is important to Christians and Humanists and in Jigsaw we will further our work on relationships and the changes that we experience.

All in all, a busy term ahead.

Keep checking back for photos which will be added as the term goes on.
