Cloverlea Primary School

Inspiring children to care, learn and achieve

Summer Term

Reading books should be in school every day as part of the morning ERIC (Everyone Reading in Class) routine.

A teacher/TA will listen to your child read on a fortnightly basis during Guided and 1:1 reading. At home, please continue to write comments in their reading diaries to facilitate communication between home and school regarding your child’s reading.

Homework will be issued digitally every Friday.

Spellings and times tables will be tested every Friday in school.

The aim is to know your multiplication and division facts for multiplication tables up to 12 x 12.

During the summer term, our PE days will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please come to school in your PE kits on those days.

We'll be following the national curriculum and covering the following texts.

Odes and Insults (poetry)

The Boy at the Back of the Class - Onjali Q. Rauf

The Queens' Nose - Dick King Smith
