Good morning! Hope you had a good day yesterday and that you are all ok at home.
Your tasks for today are as follows…
Maths: Theme Park Maths continued/converting metric measurements
Continue to spend about 10 minutes working on your times tables on TTRS or hit the button in order to keep them fluent and up to the speeds and accuracy we have worked so hard to achieve.
Children in school yesterday didn’t complete their theme park plan from yesterday, so they will be carrying on with that today. If you didn’t finish either, you could do that this morning too (the planning and designing stage is quite time consuming!). Don’t go any further than Task 1 as that will be work for another day!
Alternatively, if you did manage to finish that yesterday, you could do the following lesson on converting metric measurements. Follow the link below and work through the activities on this topic.
English: writing narrative poems
Follow the link below for today’s English lesson on writing narrative poems. Work through the information about these types of poems and then have a go at writing your own. I’d love to see some of them so send them in if you can.
Well-being: positives from lockdown
To keep your minds healthy and positive, remember to complete your daily well-being activity where possible. For today’s well-being activity, complete the sheets attached and think about what positives have come from lockdown. Discuss your ideas with a family member: see if they agree and if they have any other ideas.
Your additional lesson today is science. This lesson will look at understanding how scientific ideas about our diets were investigated in the past. Go through the PowerPoint slides and then answer the questions on the last slide using the information sheet on scurvy.
Have a lovely day despite the weather! Please keep in touch with me/the class by asking a parent to send in emails or tweet us – it would be great to see what you are up to!
