Inspiring children to care, learn and achieve

Thursday 2nd April 2020

Thursday 2nd April 2020

Hi everyone! Hope you fell for my April Fool’s joke yesterday! I’m wondering if you managed to pull any off in your houses…? Hope they worked if you did!

Your tasks for today are as follows…

Maths: ratio

Continue to spend about 10 minutes working on your times tables on TTRS or hit the button in order to keep your fluency with them up.

To continue our week of ratio, after your times tables, please complete the fourth ratio lesson which I have linked below. Answers are also provided for you to self-mark once you have finished. If you need any guidance with this lesson, please follow the link below and watch the video that corresponds to today’s lesson (week 1 lesson 4).

English: spellings and grammar

Continue to work on your spellings as needed.

Also, complete the grammar task I have attached below. Copy out the sentences into your home learning book so you can work on your handwriting as well as the grammar revision.

Well-being: cook a meal

To keep your minds healthy and positive, remember to complete your daily well-being activity where possible. For today’s well-being activity, help your parents to cook the evening meal. When we did our cooking at school, you all loved the opportunity and I’m sure your parents would appreciate your help around the home. Plus, now is the perfect opportunity for you all to all learn or improve your cooking skills! Tweet us a photo of your dinnertime creations!

Your topic tasks for this week…

Keep working on your chilli challenges over the Easter break too if you want activities to do and don’t forget to keep up with Joe Wicks and Oti Mabuse if you can. Keeping active and healthy will be the best way to fight off the virus.

I hope you are all ok and finding ways to be productive at home.

Miss Boden J
