Thursday 2nd July 2020
Good morning! Hope you had a good day yesterday.
Your tasks for today are as follows…
Maths: Theme Park Maths continued
Continue to spend about 10 minutes working on your times tables on TTRS or hit the button in order to keep them fluent and up to the speeds and accuracy we have worked so hard to achieve.
For your maths work today, please complete the next two challenges (challenges 10 and 11) in your Theme Park Maths booklet.
English: This is Me!
Yesterday, you began writing your This is Me advertisement all about yourself. Today, you are going to continue with that. Start by reading the two paragraphs you wrote yesterday and editing these if needed. Check you have used punctuation correctly and that your writing flows properly and makes sense.
Once you are happy with that, continue with your writing by completing another two or three paragraphs today (depending on how much you want to write about yourself). You could include paragraphs related to what you enjoy/achievements at school, your dreams for the future, or any other ideas you have.
When you have completed your final paragraphs, read through and check your writing. Please send me a copy of your finished piece – I’d love to see it!
Well-being: mindfulness colouring
To keep your minds healthy and positive, remember to complete your daily well-being activity where possible. For today’s well-being activity, do some of the attached mindfulness colouring to relax and calm you. Maybe you could listen to some relaxing music while you do it?
Your additional lesson today is science. This lesson will look at our circulatory system and how water and nutrients are transported around our bodies.
Read through the information on the PowerPoint and then complete the task of creating a circle book. Use your knowledge from your work on the circulatory system chilli challenges you completed previously as well as researching online or in books to complete a circle book (instructions linked below). Try to include a variety of images and writing within your circle book and make it pleasing to look at.
I hope you are all well and safe at home. Please keep in touch with me and the class by asking a parent to send in emails or tweet us – it would be great to see what you are up to!
