Tuesday 7th April 2020
Good morning you lovely bunch!
I hope you all have a great day. It is meant to be really nice and sunny today so try and get outdoors in your garden when you can and enjoy a lovely walk with your family if possible too. I hope you’re all still feeling ok and that you’re making the most of the extra time you have with your families.
Your tasks for today are as follows…
Continue to spend about 10 minutes every day working on your times tables on TTRS or hit the button in order to keep your fluency with them up.
To finish our work on ratio, after your times tables, please complete the final ratio lesson which I have linked below. Answers are also provided for you to self-mark once you have finished. If you need any guidance with this lesson, please follow the link below and watch the video that corresponds to today’s lesson (week 2 lesson 2).
English: spellings and writing task
Continue working on your spellings as needed. Ask a parent or older sibling to test you on a random 20 spellings if you feel you don’t need much work on them and see if you are able to spell them all correctly.
In addition, please complete the writing task I have linked below. Think back to a first visit you had to a new place and describe what it was like and how you felt at the time. I thought this task would be nice as you might want to think back to lovely family holidays you’ve been on or a visit to a special place that you are unable to go to at the moment. Don’t worry about printing the sheet, you can just write in your home learning book or on a computer. Follow the instructions at the side of the page and make sure your writing is as good as it would be at school! Share your writing with a parent later today and see what they think!
Well-being: listen to music
To keep your minds healthy and positive, remember to complete your daily well-being activity where possible. For today’s well-being activity, I would like you to take some time out to listen to some of your favourite music. Don’t try and do it while doing anything else – get completely lost in the music and let your mind escape from reality!
Your topic tasks for this week…
Have you started working on any of the Easter chilli challenges that I posted yesterday? If so, I hope you enjoyed whatever challenge you started and I hope continuing to work on these adds some fun to your Easter break.
Keep working on the World War chilli challenges over the Easter break too if you need more time on them. Are you still keeping up with Joe Wicks and Oti Mabuse? Well done if so! Keeping active and healthy will be the best way to fight off the virus.
I hope you are all staying well and that you are able to stay positive during these difficult times.
