Hello Year 2,
It was wonderful to see so many of you as a part of our Zoom session on Friday, I loved listening to all of the different things you have been doing during our time at home. I am really looking forward to our next session on Friday 3rd July as I know that even more of us with be joining the session. I have an idea of what we can do, more information to follow ...
Following our Zoom session, ‘A’ remembered to send me the information from his daily miles and so I decided to go out to run a mile on Saturday. I’ve included the information from both our runs for you to see below.
In addition, pay particular attention to the well being information at the bottom of the page as Joe Wicks has created free certificates for everyone that has joined in with his session. I have included the certificates for you to print off and keep at home. I’ve got mine printed off!
All your learning for the week is below, please note that the sheets I have included are additional challenges and do not need to be completed if you feel the BBC Bitesize work is enough for you.
I have included a few more pictures of our friends learning at home, it is lovely to hear from more and more of you each week. Please do send me updates of your home learning via email.
Have a a lovely week
Love Mrs Brogan
This week in English I would like you to follow the learning on the BBC Bitesize website. This week they are looking at compound words and first, second and third person before moving onto looking at two texts; Ella Bella Ballerina and A Midsummer Night's Dream .
In addition to this work, I have added some additional worksheets below if you feel like a challenge. I have included some work on homophones as this is the focus of your spellings this week. It might be a good idea to look up the meaning of the different homophones and write down the definitions of the words in your spellings to help you remember the differences between the words.
This week over on the BBC Bitesize website they are looking at Measurements, in particular lengths and heights before moving onto mass. Please head over to their website to access your learning.
In addition, White Rose have some additional videos to support you learning, but please remember that you need to use the BBC Bitesize website to access the worksheets and activities
This week I have added some additional work below linked to measurements. Please note that these challenges and are not compulsory.
Please see below the spellings for you to learn this week. This week we are looking at homophones.
Homophones and near homophones are words that sound the same but have different meanings. For example; pair and pear
In addition, I have included some more sheets to work on the common exception words for Year 2
Please remember to continue to practice your times tables each week. You may wish to use your login for Times Tables Rockstars. If not, then please have a look at the daily practice booklets below
Following on from the success of the super hero writing last week, I have added some different colouring sheets for your mindfulness this week.
In addition, for those of you who have been completing PE with Joe over our time at home, you now have the opportunity to print a certificate for yourself!
