Cloverlea Primary School

Inspiring children to care, learn and achieve

Week Beginning 14th April

Dear Year 1,

I hope that you have had a lovely Easter. I managed to do some gardening and go out for some runs. Did you manage to do the Joe Wicks PE Friday Fancy dress? He did look funny dressed up as a frog! Last week, I was in school with some of the teachers and we all did the PE workouts altogether!

This week, there are some new 'Chilli Challenges' for you to complete which I hope that you will find fun.

Dear Parents,

Please do feel free to adapt the content of lessons, especially if you are trying to juggle home learning with working from home. The English activities can be changed to oral tasks and you can talk through the maths sheets if pressed for time.

When we do writing in class, the children are encouraged to have a try independently, particularly with spelling. You can always read through the work together at a quieter time later in the day with the emphasis being on praise and then 'what could you do to make your work even better?'

Take care,

Mrs Harris
