Inspiring children to care, learn and achieve

Week commencing 29th June

How are you all? I hope you and your families are well. It was so great to see so many of you last week on Zoom. I am looking forward to next Monday (the 6th July) when we can chat again. Try to think of something that you have learnt or mastered during the lockdown so that you can share it with the class.

The weather has been so changeable! We had to have some wet play times last week which, as you can imagine, isn't great. Hopefully this week will be better.

Maths

Each day this week, watch the Whiterose video first then go over to BBC Bitesize which have matching lessons with activities this week on angles. You will need a protractor for Monday and Tuesday's activities. If you haven't got a protractor or can't get one, you can still watch the videos and do some of the Bitesize activities and if you would like some extra Maths activities, you can do the BBC Bitesize Maths from 24th and 25th June which is all about dividing and multiplying by 10,100 and 1000.

English

This weeks's English includes some reading activities and a focus on modal verbs.

Spelling rule 62

This week's spelling challenge is a revision of all of the 100 tricky words that we have been looking at over the last few months and you will be randomly tested on them when you go on Spellingframe. Try to get as many correct as you can and spend some more time learning the ones that you find difficult.

Well being

This week, have a go at learning a new skill! It can be anything from doing origami (paper folding) to learning a song, to doing keepy uppies. You can choose to do whatever you like and then, if you want to, you can tell the class about it in our next Zoom meeting. You can also send pictures to me to share on our class page.

Good luck with your challenge.
