Cloverlea Primary School

Inspiring children to care, learn and achieve

Year 4

Welcome to the Year 4 Home Learning Page.

I hope you and your families are all fit and well.

Please do check this page regularly for activities that you can do whilst at home. Each day there will be a different Maths and English activity. There will also be a topic based ‘Chilli Challenge’. You can complete as many as you like, but try to do at least three.

Don’t forget to keep reading by using your ‘EPIC!’ log-in. I have selected books for you to read but feel free to select your own too. You are definitely spoilt for choice, so enjoy reading. While schools are 'closed', Audible are also streaming hundreds of children's books - so please take advantage of this amazing offer. My Josh loves his bedtime audible chapter. He's listening to 'The Boy at the Back of the Class' at the moment and is totally engrossed.

I've also created a class account for Oxford Owl - logon details have been emailed home.

Remember to use your Time Tables Rock Stars ’ login in to practice your tables. You can also access Numbots from the same login as TTRS so use this resource too, if you get chance.

Keep smiling and active Y4. You could begin each day by participating in the Joe Wicks 30 minute PE lessons which are streaming live at 9.00 every Monday to Friday. It would be lovely to think of everyone from Cloverlea joining in at the same time! https://www.thebodycoach.com/blog/pe-with-joe-1254.html

Don't forget there's also things like 5-a-day TV, Super Movers and Just Dance. My boys and I will be doing plenty of exercise during this time.

I love being your teacher and I feel really lucky to have taught you since Y3. I am still here and I'm really looking forward to seeing you again and hearing all your news. To keep in touch, you (your parents smiley) can tweet @Cloverlea1917 and of course, I'll keep you updated with news from here.

Take care of yourselves and remember the school values.

Best wishes

Mrs Rickels
