Year 5

Note from Mrs Djennati:

Dear all Year 5s,

On the last day of term and your last day of being Year 5, I wanted to write to you to wish you a super summer holiday and to say that I really look forward to seeing you in September when you start in Year 6.

I really enjoyed the time that we spent together before lockdown and it was a real pleasure to teach you. You all have such a wide variety of gifts and talents and you should be really proud of yourselves.

I am sure that by September you will all have grown up in so many ways.

Take care of yourselves and your families.

Best wishes

Mrs Djennati

Welcome to the Year 5 Home Learning Page

Dear all Year 5s,

Well, this is the last week of home learning before the summer break and I hope you enjoyed our Zoom call on Monday.

It is such a shame that our Year 5 class time was cut short this Year but you should be proud of the way that you have got on with your home learning and kept up the school values. I know that I am proud of you.

I would definitely recommend that you keep up with your times tables practice and reading over summer so that you will be ready for Year 6 when you come back.

Take care of yourselves and I look forward to seeing you in September.

Mrs Djennati

More pictures from home

Wow! Ellie has been busy creating a solar system model from our Chilli Challenge.

Her 3D solar system entirely edible! She has included a blazing hot sun, a sparkly moon, a rare asteroid which has a blue arura plus the 8 planets.

Ellie made an amazing birthday cake for her nanna; she decorated it with handmade flowers and iced it beautifully. This would do well on the Great British Bake Off!

Ellie has been very busy!

Ellie made her mum a fancy candlelit dinner to say thank you for keeping her safe through the Covid-19 pandemic.  She also dressed as an evacuee, made campfires and built dens.

What a beautiful rain painting from Lucy! Also take a look at her wonderful living things photographs - very professional|

Have a look at Amelia's beautiful poem

Matthew has made some amazing brownies and Amelia has completed a project on a tsunami. Well done!

Ollie, you have been busy! And Matthew, those Oreo truffles look amazing.

Photo collection of Year 5 activities - so impressive!

Remember, you can all send pictures and videos with anything that you have been doing at home for us to share on our page. We can post them as long as they don't include your names or any email addresses.
